Pain in the butt! I honestly found this a little frustrating and found it much easier to just do them by hand and either pan fry them or cook them in the oven. It comes with a little plastic guide but, I honestly don’t have the time to cut each and every single one to that size with a knife. It would have been great if it had come with a cutter as well – I’ve hunted high and low for a cutter that would fit this device but, no go! It should also come with some type of indented filler – can’t find one of those…
Pretty cool makes them empanadas pretty well, though they are kinda small. Of course, less greasy and easy. But I would sure like one that makes ’em BIGGER!
Exactly what it says it is! It’s not the greatest device ever. It’s smaller than you would expect. I looked at the dimensions and still pictured it bigger than it is. The empenadas it makes are about 4″ long and 2″ wide which isn’t awful. It’s easy to use and include a plastic sheet that helps you size the dough. It comes with a few recipes but no recipe for the dough itself which is where I’ve stalled out. The first recipe I found ended up like a wet cracker. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t good. My whole purpose…
