  1. Doubling from 2 outlets to 4 … Nice footprint. I’ve got a vertical outlet (see photo) with the grounding prong on the bottom. This fits perfectly on the top giving three new outlets, leaving the fourth below still available. Basically doubling from 2 to 4 outlets. No reason to think the surge protection isn’t adequate, which is nice. Red LED light indicates surge protection is on. Simple product, seems to work fine, doubles the number of plugins. Easy 5 out of 5 stars for doing what it says it does. Recommended.

  2. Protect Your Treasured Electronics If you cannot afford a true battery-based uninterruptable power supply (UPS) for every power socket in your house (and who can?), these make a good and affordable alternative. The power in our area is often cycling up and down – you can actually see light bulbs get brighter and dimmer. My PC used to “blue-screen” crash regularly, and this problem stopped when I placed it on a battery-powered UPS. I use APC UPSs to protect a few critical and expensive equipment areas (home stereo / TV…

  3. Inexpensive, compact and clean looking plus surge protection This is a well made 3-outlet wall tap surge protector. I’m using it in place of an old power strip that was plugged into a duplex wall outlet, and I still get to use the lower receptacle in the wall outlet. Essentially, using this surge protector, I get a total of 4 receptacles out of a duplex outlet. This is so much cleaner looking and organized than having a power strip with its cable plugged into the wall.
