Overall review. I purchased this soda maker as my son and I were going through about 5 liters of club soda per day, and even from Cosco, the liters were costing us 59 cents plus a 10 cent deposit. While we recycle, we don’t bring back our bottles, and allow the homeless in our neighborhood to collect them (we live in New York City).
Better Carbonation With Less CO2 Use There has been some good advice written about maximizing carbonation with the Sodastream Soda Maker. Much of it involves the use of cold water, and proper addition of flavor media afterwards.
Decent product, terrible company. The machine is adequate. We like using it and adding a little fruit juice for inexpensive flavored sparkling water. And I enjoy many of their soda flavors as well, although I have found it doesn’t hold fizz for very long; you need to fizz it and then drink it right away. It all works as advertised, the machine is very cheap plastic, but it isn’t like it will be undergoing any abuse sitting on my cupboards. With the cost of the CO2 it will take awhile for the cost to be recouped over buying…
