Offers large cooking area but The Black & Decker Family Size Griddle has a decent size cooking area big enough to feed my family of five. The non-stick cooking surface is great for making sunny-side over eggs without worrying about them sticking. The surface is large enough to make 8 large french toast side-by-side, and of course big enough for a slab of bacon and sausage.
I’ll just have to continue my search for the perfect griddle. Surface doesn’t heat evenly and the temperature dial is stiff. Temp settings seem to a little off too. Pancakes came out with stripes. Only positive note is that it was inexpensive ($20), but still going to return it. I’ll just have to continue my search for the perfect griddle.
Solidly functional and easy to clean. This is a low-end griddle with minimal features, but it seems to be made reasonably well. When I got it, it was listed for $30, which seemed like a good price. But at the current price of $46, I would expect a few more features than it has. I would give the griddle four stars (“I like it”), but I deducted one (making it “It’s OK”) for the bad customer service and the unknown electrocution factor (more on that later).
