State Supreme Court Hears Redistricting Case

The Kentucky Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments in a legislative redistricting case Friday morning. A Franklin County Circuit judge ruled last week that the new districts are out of balance and needed to be redrawn. Republican legislators say the redistricting favors Democrats. Redistricting occurs every 10 years to account for population changes reported in the U.S. Census.
